About the winemaker
With hands-on experience in Niagara, the Okanagan valley and New Zealand, Max is an accredited Sommelier and holds a B. Sc in Oenology and Viticulture. He held the role of Assistant Winemaker at Cedarcreek Estate Winery and Winemaker / Viticulturist at Lunessence Winery.
Max assumed the role of Viticulturist and Winemaker at Sage Hayward Vineyards in 2022. Organic farming practices are at the heart of our efforts to restore vineyard health in order to craft wines that respect and reflect our unique coastal terroir.
